She has a BMW 525 before and was very trust worthy (except usual german car problems) and we typically has to change oil for every 7000-8000 miles (it indicates)Just bought a mecedes e350 for wife, was wondering from other owners how often does the car need oil changes?
The E350 was introduced in 2006. The 2005 and newer E Class oil change interval is recommended every 13,000 miles or every 12 months whichever comes first. I recommend you use Mobil One as recommended by MB and also use original MB oil filters to protect your ';very expensive'; engine.





Here is some additional info. Your maintenance indicator will display one of the following Service A, B, C, D, E etc... when you are due as long as it was properly reset at the last maintenance. A computer is hooked up to the vehicle and downloads all the recommended items due at that time based on the computer's monitoring.





Brake Fluid change every 2 years





Coolant change every 150,000 miles or 15 years

Depending on what year the E350 is, it either has a oil monitor in the pan which, based on the condition of the oil, tells you when you should change the oil or the newer ones have a fixed service interval of 13K miles or 20K km.





It's up to you if you want to stretch the intervals that far. I know some drivers feel that is to far between changes and they do them every 6.5K miles / 10K km just as precaution.
I used Mobil 1 and change the oil every 5,000 miles in both an S Class and Jaguar XJR I drive. 10-13,000 miles on a 0 weight oil, even oil as good as Mobile 1 seems a bit optimistic to me. You can certainly get by with a happy medium between 5 and 13,000 miles. And yes, a very nice choice.
MB use to have the oil change interval sensors installed in their cars but they changed it to regular oil change intervals.





MB uses Mobil 1 full synthetic as their factory fill. They recommend Oil changes once per year or every 13000 miles. They call it A service at the dealership.
