Can you buy HYBRIDS yet? and do they run on oil or deisel?

and can you tell me how much they cost plz! thanx :)Can you buy HYBRIDS yet? and do they run on oil or deisel?
Hybrids have been around for around 10 years now ( the original ones being the previous generation Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight ).

They vary greatly in price as many companies now make hybrids but all of them thus far are gasoline/electric hybrids. No diesel/electric hybrid has reached the market as of yet.

There are tons of hybrids on the market and they have been on the market for about 10 years. The most famous is the Toyota Prius but there are dozens of others now. I have a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and got a nice rebate on it as a year-end and model change close-out. Prices vary but they are generally more expensive than gasoline only models. The majority run on gasoline; there might be diesel truck model or two out there - I'm not sure at this point.
There are a lot of Hybrids out there these days. Most get in the 20's or low 30's for gas mileage. In terms of price, you are looking at at least $20,000, but anywhere up to $30,000. Most run on gas. I guess there are some from VW that are diesel.
First, there are many hybrids. One of the worst for the environment being the Prius. The battery is VERY TOXIC to manufacture. And most cars run on gas. (Oil is not a kind of fuel.)
ford is going to bring its diesel car that gets 65 mpg in 2010 and it looks way better than the p.o.s. prius buy domestic to support our economy
ford just came out with there 2010 hybrid car that runs on electricity and gas.was the pace car for the last nascar race this past sunday..i thought it looked ok,not bad for a hybrid..
