Does the Texas Oil Cartel (aka RNC) think they can buy our votes with lower gasoline prices?

Of course they do! Does anyone really think it's just a coincidence that gas prices are dropping just before an election? They're saying it's because the summer driving season is over, but why this year and not last year too? Watch what happens to prices in December and January, regardless of who wins. They won't come down again until the 2008 elections.Does the Texas Oil Cartel (aka RNC) think they can buy our votes with lower gasoline prices?
Residents in the USA pay about one-half the going rate for gasoline as compared to the rest of the world. This is a result of long term petroleum prices negotiated with domestic suppliers as well as our major suppliers in Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia.

';Spot prices'; that we read about so often are just for a fractional amount of the world supply of oil and have very little influence on prices you pay at the pump.

Pump prices have gone up due to the weakness of the US Dollar as compared to other world currencies. When adjusted for inflation, US consumers aren't paying any more than they ever did - indeed, the adjusted cost of gasoline today is lower than it was in 1982.

Supposedly the demand for gasoline has gone down now due to the end of summer, and meanwhile home heating oil demand is low until we get more into winter.

Thus we get back to the basic economic law of supply and demand.Does the Texas Oil Cartel (aka RNC) think they can buy our votes with lower gasoline prices?
The RNC is going to try any tactic they can to try and keep control of the House and Senate. I believe thats why ABC came out with the movie....Path to 911.
More like they are telling us who has the real power and as long as we glutons for the gas pay for it the longer they will have the power.Pretty sad to think about knowing no one will actually do

anything about it.
Yep
Probably. I wouldn't be surprised.
What Texas Oil Cartel and where is it suppose to be.???
Okay, Mr.Oxford Man, blah blah blah blah. Your credentials are indeed impressive. You have been brainwashed well. But you will not convince the American public that our gas prices are anything other than what it IS- the arrogant greediness of those in power at the expense of the people.

Yes, of course, they try to throw us all kinds of table scraps to get our votes, or to try to make it look like they are human after all. It's hilarious.
hahaha.

do you feel compelled to vote republican since the prices went down?

please please tell me you are not that gullible.

both the republicans and democrats will do anything to get into or retain power,

when will the sheep learn that both parties are different sides to the same coin?

they are just in it for the power.

time to vote both out and put in place people who believe in the country,

not the business of politics

not the business of the country

not the business of business

they are there to govern. not to run a business.

3rd party all the way.
You friggin people are just never happy.
Gasoline prices always decline after Labor Day. This year prices started dipping before labor day to encourage more people to drive.

Plus don't give American voters that much credit. They are unlikely to notice small incremental decreases and equally unlikely to remember them 8 weeks before elections. A large decrease, 25 to 30 cents 14 to 10 days before the polls open is a different story.
