Just bought a deep fat fryer to use on occasion..what type of oil is the healthiest to fry in please?

I will be only usning it to cook chips in thanks.Just bought a deep fat fryer to use on occasion..what type of oil is the healthiest to fry in please?

Oils need to get very hot for deep frying. So you want an oil with a high smoking point.





On the rare occasions I deep fry, I use peanut oil. I've use it with success with fish and chips and donuts

Use Olive oil as it is recognised as the healthiest of them all. It also has the best flavour. All oil is fattening though.
rapeseed is the best but more expensive.
palm oil but no oil is really healthy.
