Asking something like that is the same as me asking is 13 24 57 64 11 the lotto numbers for tomorrow? It's a gamble no matter how you slice it. All I can say is be sure you are diversified enough so that if one industry doesn't do so hot, you aren't losing all of your investment.
If you mean like the Warren Buffet definition of long term, buy and hold forever, I would say yes. In the short term I think oil is going down to atleast 70
nothing in china is a good buy right now. they overheated their economy and it is going to take a while for things to cool off. their market increased nearly 6,000% in 2 years, I don't know of any business that can grow production that fast (therefore the market is overvalued). when things do cool off I would go with PetroChina over CEO. in about 3 years I would call CEO a decent-good long term investment.
