Is it true that buy the way bush has thing running, we will not have any oil by the year 2012?

Bush is a frickin moron, so chances are it's true. Just like his old man... cant tell his head from his ***.Is it true that buy the way bush has thing running, we will not have any oil by the year 2012?
umm the president no matter who it is has no bearing on how much oil we use. and how long oil will last depends on how much is still in the ground. Is it true that buy the way bush has thing running, we will not have any oil by the year 2012?
I don't buy anything Bush has to say
IT COULD BE
1. We don't produce much of the oil.

2. Other countries such as China and India are starting to be huge consumers of oil

3. Other technologies will become acceptable once oil prices get high enough. (Shale oil has finally become worth producing in Canada)

4. Our country already uses 25% less oil to generate $1 of GNP compared to 20 years ago. (we've become much more efficient and less reliant on oil to make our economy grow)

5. There is plenty of oil in the ground --- it will just cost more to produce since that oil is harder to get out of the ground than the oil we currently get.

6. Once oil is expensive enough, liberals will allow us to drill in Alaska, use more coal, and build more nuclear plants.

7. Our country does not use that much more oil than it did under Clinton.

8. Countries such as Mexico have enough oil that they can pump for 50 years at current rates. Mexico is in no hurry to pump that oil out of the ground.

9. Bush will only be president for a few more years. So, there is plenty of time for other presidents to either help or screw things up.
no
Definitely not true. He may not be the most likeable guy, but he doesn't have that much power. If we were 6 years from running out of oil, you'd see a ton of alternative fuels on the market already, probably marketed by the oil giants.

A buddy was telling me about a book that was recently published that points to new research that indicates the world may have a virtually unlimited supply of oil -- we're simply not drilling deep enough. Today, we look for oil about 2-3 miles down. This research suggests you can find oil virtually anywhere at depths of about 10 miles. Supposedly, that's where the oil originates and only gets up to the 2-3 mile range through cracks in the earth's crust. I'll try to find a link to the book and update this post.
i think we all dont think are oil will last a long time the cost just keeps going up thats all .are goverment some times wont tell us the truth and that is wrong on if there will be enough oil.
Bush won't still be president in 2012.

But, at the rate of consumption, it won't be too long before we deplete the oil reserves. This isn't something that will happen in your children's lifetime- it will happen in yours. You'll live long enough to see a world without gas.
The Lord told me we'll have oil forever, so don't you worry lil' missy--STAY THE COURSE!!!!
all of this talk of war with oil rich nations makes you wonder.
No. Oil consumption has very little to do with who is the President of the United States, and there is more than enough oil reserves in the world to last us well past 2012.
No, the places we drill now we dont get all of the oil out - only what is on top. We leave alot in the ground because it is too expensive to get it at certain depths. We are also finding places to drill all the time.
