Is the price of nature gas cheap? The price of oil has gone up in the last few weeks. Is it time to buy?

Yes it is cheap. Its trading at $23 oil BOE. Seasonally the best time to buy natural gas is August. Natural gas has underperformed oil because of the high inventories coupled with the fact most of it is produced domestically has kept it down thus not perceived as a dollar play.








Since 70% of our oil is imported that commodity has turned into a dollar play. If you believe the dollar will weaken oil should continue to hold up in price.





Although I agree inventories are on the histroically high side what they move oil in either direction by these big percentages on these weekly inventory reports only amounts to a couple hours at most of use nationwide. If you look at it in that scope it looks immaterial.Is the price of nature gas cheap? The price of oil has gone up in the last few weeks. Is it time to buy?
Natural gas is cheap and its probably going to stay that way. We have enormous amounts of it in inventory and supplies usually rise through the summer. We have enormous inventories of oil too and and little demand for either commodity. I expect oil prices to fall back sharply soon. Not at all, the technicals are very weak. Check out the charts - very hard to pick a bottom on this market right now.
