I just bought a deep fryer. What is the best oil to use?

...not the healthiest necessarily, but one that will last the longest room temperature and won't go rancid.I just bought a deep fryer. What is the best oil to use?
Definitely Peanut Oil You can buy it bulk in the grocery store now. And use a sifter and drain and save it in a container. In frig is good in case there are left-behind particles of food.I just bought a deep fryer. What is the best oil to use?
Easy one! Good Ol' Crisco shortening

Footnote: the oil with the highest smoking point is Avocado oil @ 460 followed by Safflower @ 410
canola or vegetable oil. Olive oil isn't very good to use for deep frying.... it burns easily.
peanut or canola
Did a Google search: best oil for deep-frying

Safflower or Peanut oil were the answers there.
10W50 works great.
Canola
vegetable oil- healthy but also is the fr*gn best!!!
All polyunsaturated fats (liquid oils) WILL go rancid. To slow this down, store it in your fridge.

Peanut has a high smoke point, and can be strained even after frying fish to fry donuts or FF. Canola oil is very light in flavor and texture, though, and gives a good result. Most oils can only be reused twice, but you may get a 3rd use out of peanut oil.
olive oil
Peanut Oil has the highest smoke point and if you strain it between uses you can store it covered for up to a month.

If you don't use that, your next best bet is vegetable oil. Olive oil doesn't have a high enough smoke point.
